sangheeut presents the group exhibition Soft Forgetting from July 3 to August 2, featuring works by Kurt Fritzsch (b. 1995, Germany), Natalie Sasi Organ (b. 1999, Thailand), and Minyoung Won (b. 2000, Korea). This exhibition explores the complex and layered nature of memory—how it can both haunt us and quietly fade away—and explores the uncertain moments in between through each artist’s unique perspective and approach. The three artists reflect on the repeated choices of what to hold onto and what to let go, revealing new possibilities that emerge in the delicate space between forgetting and remembering.
On view are works including images of bones collected from archaeological sites and letters found on the street, meticulously repeated “seemingly insignificant” images, and pieces that weave together family relationships, ancient myths, and shifting dynamics of roles. These materials both anchor memory and gently blur it, visually expressing its fluidity and instability. Soft Forgetting carefully examines how memory flows and transforms somewhere between total oblivion and complete recollection, inviting us to confront the fragile and unstable space where belonging, loss, and shifting forms of existence coexist.
