Sangheeut is delighted to present Pieces of, a solo exhibition by Seunghee Lee, on view from February 26 to March 29, 2025. Working across painting, sculpture, and installation, Lee explores the horizontal relationships between humans and non-humans and the possibilities of their coexistence. This exhibition features bronze sculptures inspired by dog-related folktales and imagery from various cultures, alongside print works set in relief-like frames. While Lee has long experimented with digital sculpture, this marks her first venture into bronze, expanding her material exploration. The artist shares that she sought to infuse the enduring nature of bronze with her hopes and wishes.
상히읗은 오는 2월 26일부터 3월 29일까지 이승희의 개인전 《Pieces of》를 개최한다. 이승희는 회화, 조각, 설치 작업을 통해 인간과 비인간의 관계적 지평과 공존의 가능성을 탐구하며 자신만의 작품세계를 구축해왔다. 본 전시는 다양한 문화권에서 등장하는 개의 설화와 이미지로부터 기인한 브론즈 조각과 부조 형태의 액자를 활용한 판화 작품이 주축을 이룬다. 이는 그의 매체적 실험과 실천을 고스란히 보여줄 뿐만 아니라 디지털 조각을 활용한 레진 조각을 지속적으로 연구해 온 작가가 처음으로 브론즈를 시도하였다는 점에서 유의미하다. 이에 대해 작가는 작업 과정에서 품었던 여러 바람과 염원을 영속성을 지닌 브론즈라는 매체에 새겨넣고자 했다고 덧붙인다.
