Minyoung Won (b. 2000) paints images that intertwine light, seemingly playful scenes with uneasy and sincere emotions, exploring states and sensations that resist easy explanation. Drawn to fading memories and images that disappear or are discarded, the artist finds motivation in repetition, mistakes, and moments of dissonance. Won is currently based in Seoul.
