Hyunjin Kim depicts the intangible world and non-existent objects from her imagination on the canvas. In her paintings, she uses minimal brushstrokes to give the objects great depth, and as a painter, she is building her own artistic world by focusing on the act of painting and the moment itself. She has participated in group exhibitions at Art Space 3, Seoul (2022); WESS, Seoul (2022); Perigee Gallery, Seoul (2022); Tiger Strike Asteroid, Los Angeles (2023); and solo exhibitions at Gallery 175, Seoul (2022) and M3ta, Seoul (2023).
김현진은 보이지 않는 세계와 실재하지 않는 대상을 떠올리고 머릿속으로 그려내며 이를 화폭으로 옮긴다. 최소한의 붓질로 그려진 형상을 깊이 있는 화면 안에 구현해 내는 김현진은 회화 작가로서 그리는 행위와 그 순간 자체를 주목하며 자신만의 작품 세계를 구축해 나가고 있다. 작가는 서울 아트스페이스3(2022); 서울 WESS(2022); 서울 페리지 갤러리(2022); 로스앤젤레스 Tiger Strike Asteroid(2023) 등 다양한 공간에서 개최된 단체전에 참여하였으며, 서울 갤러리175(2022)와 서울 M3ta(2023)에서 개인전을 가진 바 있다.
