We are pleased to share Calendar, our exhibition for the final month of 2025.
The project draws from a 19th-century German custom of lighting a candle or opening a small paper door each day in anticipation of Christmas—a tradition that eventually became the Advent Calendar.
Calendar brings this idea into the gallery as a spatial structure 24 compartments and 24 openings. Each day, one work is revealed, and the exhibition comes together in its complete form only on the final day.
Rather than building a single narrative, the exhibition looks at the day as the smallest unit of display and observes how these daily moments, placed side by side, form a larger structure. It also makes visible the process by which an exhibition is assembled over time.
Throughout this year, sangheeut has worked with many artists across different projects. Exhibitions open and close quickly, but the relationships and memories formed through them stay with us and shape how we prepare for the year ahead.
Calendar gathers those accumulated moments and marks each day as a quiet record—a way of closing the year and greeting the next one.
This letter is for everyone who has visited our exhibitions, and for those who continue to support us from afar.

상히읗은 2025년 마지막 달, 전시 《Calendar》를 개최합니다.
19세기 독일에는 크리스마스를 기다리며 하루에 하나씩 초를 켜거나 작은 종이문을 여는 풍습이 있었습니다. 이는 훗날 ‘어드벤트 캘린더(Advent Calendar)’의 기원이 되었습니다.
《Calendar》는 이 전통을 전시장 안의 구조로 옮겨옵니다. 24개의 칸, 그리고 24개의 열림. 전시 기간 동안 하루에 하나의 작업이 공개되고, 디스플레이의 전체는 마지막 날에 완성됩니다.
이번 전시는 하루를 전시의 최소 단위로 삼고, 그 단위들이 쌓여 어떻게 구조를 형성하는지 관찰하고자 합니다. 특정한 서사를 제시하기보다, 전시가 구성되는 방식을 그대로 드러내기도 합니다.
올 한해 상히읗은 여러 작가들과 함께 다양한 전시를 진행하였습니다. 전시는 늘 짧은 순간에 열리고 닫히지만, 그 시간들이 쌓여 만들어낸 관계와 기억은 우리가 다음 해를 준비하는 밑거름이 됩니다.
이번 전시는 그 모든 시간을 차분히 정리하고, 다가오는 새해를 맞이하는 하루하루의 기록입니다.
