sangheeut is thrilled to introduce its brand-new gallery space in
the vibrant Haebangchon neighborhood of Seoul. Originally founded in 2021 as an
experimental exhibition space at the Haebangchon Five-way Intersection, sangheeut
has consistently curated innovative exhibitions, featuring performance-based
displays, screening shows, and exhibitions challenging conventional art
presentation.
Now, having relocated to the entrance of Haebangchon, near Gyeongridan-gil, and surrounded by a burgeoning community of galleries and artist studios, sangheeut has transformed into an incubating gallery. We will continue to host solo and group exhibitions, showcasing emerging and mid-career artists with a strong curatorial focus. Additionally, we are committed to producing compelling digital content to promote our artists and programs, while maintaining an open-minded and experimental approach to art.
Our reopening exhibition will feature the works of two artists, Bang Soyun and Ahry Keem, and will be on view from 18 August, 2023, through 8 October, 2023.

상히읗은 해방촌 입구에 새로운 갤러리 공간을 개관한다. 상히읗은 2021년 해방촌 오거리에 위치한 공간에서 회화나 조각뿐만 아니라 퍼포먼스, 스크리닝 등을 아우르는 다양한 형태의 실험적인 전시를 선보였으며, 이를 통해 예술을 경험하고 바라보는 태도에 대해 질문해왔다.
경리단길과 인접한 해방촌 입구에 새 둥지를 틀고, 갤러리나 예술 공간, 작가 스튜디오 등 다양한 공간이 공생하고 있는 독특한 지역적 분위기를 흡수하며 인큐베이팅 갤러리로서 기능하고자 한다. 신진 및 중견 작가의 개인전과 기획력이 돋보이는 단체전을 선보임과 더불어, 함께하는 작가의 활동과 갤러리 프로그램을 홍보하는 디지털 컨텐츠를 제작하고, 상히읗의 근간을 이루는 실험적인 예술을 소개할 예정이다.
